How do I start Fit Mom classes?
For all fitness options, please call to reserve a spot in the stroller class or to make an appointment for a fitness consultation.
Stroller exercise classes leave promptly at start time and we would not want to leave anyone behind. Please feed and change all babies prior to leaving.
What do I bring to class or fitness sessions?
For class, only you, your child and a stroller are ultimately necessary. No special jogging stroller is needed – anything safe will work. All other equipment is provided by Fit Mom. We do recommend you bring water, snacks for older children, and a towel or yoga mat.
Personal training sessions also come with everything you need. Fit Mom recommends a towel or yoga mat if the area we will work on is hard.
How old do my children have to be to participate?
Babies can attend class anywhere from 6 weeks old and up. Medical clearance from your doctor is a must prior to participating in this or any other physical activity. So long as your child can sit in a stroller for one hour, she/he shouldn’t have any problems.
For mobile sessions, you need to have doctor’s permission if you are immediately post-natal.
What happens if my children get fussy in class or during a session?
Children are always first priority. Take care of her and catch up with the stroller class when the fuss passes. If it doesn’t and you feel you must leave class, we will credit you another class.
Generally, we find children tend to do very well in their own environment and rarely does a personal training session end due to a fussy baby. There are many exercises that can be accomplished either holding the child or working around her mood.
What happens in bad weather?
Dress yourself and your baby for our climate – hot, cold, wet or otherwise – and bring a stroller cover. Call 30 minutes before class if the weather is questionable. We will only cancel class during very inclement weather.
What about refunds?
No refunds are given. Any check returned for non-sufficient funds will result in a $15.00 fee per transaction.
